At Langara, we are deeply committed to playing a role in creating a sustainable society. We understand that the world’s resources are finite and need to be used conservatively and wisely and that our choices, both big and small, have an impact on our world and future generations.
A new Langara Sustainability Co-op placement will help us to create a more sustainable campus – and we have KPMG to thank. KPMG have funded a new student co-op position for three years to support Langara sustainability initiatives.
KPMG are helping us to make a more sustainable campus by providing funding to create a new work experience opportunity for students interested in sustainability initiatives. Sustainability Co-op role for three years. The Sustainability Co-op student will coordinate and lead a group of student volunteers interested in working on sustainability projects around campus. The student and their team of ambassadors will also participate in off-campus sustainability initiatives including Langara’s VOLT Volunteer “C Change” programs, connecting them to the community.
This is just one small move to a more sustainable campus and educating our community on sustainability practices.
