Support student nurses in need.
Nurses touch people’s lives every day. Our nursing students are passionate and driven, balancing a demanding academic schedule with practicums, and volunteer opportunities.
As one of the leading nursing training programs in Canada, the Langara Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Program equips students with the broad-based knowledge with a high focus on hands-on clinical skills necessary to prepare nurses for an increasingly complex health care system.
It takes a special kind of person to dedicate their lives to helping others but the path to becoming a nurse is not always an easy one. Langara nursing students account for 90% of students on financial aid. Our fundraising campaign, Code Orange aims to support nursing students throughout their program, so they can graduate and help to solve the nursing shortage faced in British Columbia and across the country. Almost 100% of our students are employed within three months of graduation.
Langara Nursing by the numbers:
- 625 nursing students registered in the program at any given time
- Recipient of the seven-year “Award of Program Excellence” from College of Registered Nurses of British Columbia (CRNBC). The longest recognition awarded by the provincial regulatory body.
- Ranked #1 in NCLEX passing score, above the BC and National pass rate, for last three consecutive years (average 98%)
- Lowest tuition rates compared to other BSN programs in B.C.
Help nursing in B.C. by supporting Code Orange, an annual fundraising campaign to support student nurses in financial need. Our goal is to raise $25,000 for nursing student bursaries.
