Former Recreation Leadership Student
An avid cyclist, Matthew used to cycle up Cambie Street hill daily while pursuing his Recreation Leadership studies. He was driven by the constant support and enthusiasm he received from his instructors and peers. Although he always looked forward to the downhill ride home, he never minded the initial uphill climb. An analogy which he uses in his everyday life. At Langara, Matthew found his true passion, teaching. He is now pursuing a degree in education and has volunteered to teach abroad.
Speaking of volunteering, Matthew returned to Langara to volunteer his leadership skills at Community Day’s Kids Zone. He was one of the over 160 volunteers who in total contributed 876.5 hours to making Community Day so special!
